UGC NET 2020 new exam date, Last date to apply extended

UGC NET 2020 new exam date: Check important message by HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 



The UGC NET 2020 examination which was scheduled to be held from June 15 to June 20 was postponed due to the nationalwide lockdown imposed to fight the Covid-19 spread.

 The new examination dates of UGC NET 2020 will be announced very soon, said HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank'.

UGC NET 2020: The new dates of the University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) 2020 will be announced anytime soon. The Union Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD) Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' on Thursday gave a message of 'Acharya Devo Bhava' while interacting with teachers across the country through webinar.
During the webinar, the HRD minister made two big announcements during this webinar. In response to a question, he said that the examination date of UGC NET will be announced very soon. He also announced that teachers who have completed the recruitment process of Navodaya Vidyalaya will get appointment after lockdown.

The UGC NET 2020 new exam dates are expected to be announced in a day or two. All the candidates are advised to keep a close check on the official website of UGC NET 2020 (ugcnet.nta.nic.in) for latest updates on the examination schedule.

UGC NET 2020: Last date to apply extended

Meanwhile, the online registration process of UGC NET 2020 concludes today, May 16. All the candidates can apply through the official website, the link for which is ugcnet.nta.nic.in .

                                    Historical Note of Statistics       ‘Statistics’ is derived from the Latin word ‘status’ which means a political state. This suggests that statistics is as old as human civilisation. In the year 3050 B.C., perhaps the first census was held in Egypt. In India also, about 2000 years ago, we had an efficient system of collecting administrative statistics, particularly, during the regime of Chandra Gupta Maurya (324-300 B.C.). The system of collecting data related to births and deaths is mentioned in Kautilya’s Arthshastra (around 300 B.C.) A detailed account of administrative surveys conducted during Akbar’s regime is given in Ain-I-Akbari written by Abul Fazl. 2019-20        Captain John Graunt of London (1620-1674) is known as father of vital statistics due to his studies on statistics of births and deaths. Jacob Bernoulli (1654-1705) stated the Law of Large numbers in his book “Ars Conjectandi’, published in 1713.
